To use watercolor on cotton canvas, it is important to first prepare the canvas by applying a layer of watercolor ground or gesso to create a smooth surface that will properly absorb the watercolor paint. Once the surface is prepared, you can start painting with watercolors as you would on watercolor paper, using watercolor brushes and a palette of watercolor paints. Keep in mind that watercolor on canvas may behave slightly differently than on paper, so it's a good idea to experiment and practice to get a feel for how the paint interacts with the canvas surface. **

Yes, one can use construction paper for watercolor paints, but it may not be the best choice. Construction paper is typically not designed to handle the moisture of watercolor paints, so it may warp or become soggy. It also may not hold the paint as well as watercolor paper, leading to less vibrant colors and potential bleeding. It's better to use watercolor paper or a heavier weight paper specifically designed for watercolor painting for the best results. **
